I am a raving fan of Mark Estee and his restaurant Campo here in Reno. The funny thing is, our relationship started with me complaining about his business in this blog post.
He recovered from that initial service failure brilliantly, and I’ve never regretted giving him and his business another chance.
It’s not Mark’s social media strategy that makes me a raving fan, its the posture he takes toward his customers. He preaches and practices operational excellence – the only sustainable operating strategy given the current hyperconnected and hyperlinked social business environment. I’m a fan of Mark Estee because he earns it every time I visit his business.
I’m glad I have this video of me telling my version of the story at WordCamp Reno 2013. Mark also tells the story when he speaks to my MBA classes, but his version is a little different than mine
